It's a method of implementing a service fee to all customers, while giving a discount to cash payers. Therefore, your posted prices become the prices for those who pay with cash and customers are incentivized to pay with cash to avoid the service fee. Those who choose to pay with a credit card will see a line item added to their receipt. Proprietary technology allows this to happen and keeps you within the guidelines of Visa, MasterCard, and processor regulations.

You need to do what's best for you, but do this. Determine what your early termination fee is. Termination fees are typically between $300 - $500. Now do this. Look at your credit card processing statement and see how much you generally pay in monthly fees. Take that amount and multiply it by 12 months. It's likely pretty clear that the amount you'll save far exceeds the termination fee. For example, let's say your early termination fee is $500 and you pay $500 per month in processing fees.
